BOCOO Online and Slamdance Partner to Serve China Talent Communities

Denver, Colorado and Los Angeles, California – September 30, 2007 – BOCOO Online and SlamDance today announced a partnership to leverage BOCOO’s international online platform to serve talent communities in China and to give them the opportunity to present their productions to the world.

As part of this program, BOCOO, Slamdance and other international enterprises co-organized the first BOCA International Creativity Festival in China starting October 24, 2007 (www.bocoo.com/boca/). It will serve as a showcase for the discovery of new and emerging talents and is dedicated to the nurturing and development of new video producers and their unique visions and skills. Further more, it provides a bridge for talents in US and China to communicate, work together, and exchange their ideas, visions and techniques. The winners will have a chance to participate in Slamdance’s annual Film Festival.

As a member of the Liberty Media family, BOCOO Online, LLC, and its wholly owned China subsidiary BOCOO Online (Beijing) Ltd work closely with its sister companies to bring the “grass-root” creativities to the mainstream and provide a culture-bridge across the Pacific Ocean.
As a year-round organization, Slamdance alumni include high profile filmmakers such as Steven Soderbergh (Traffic), Christopher Nolan (Batman) Marc Forster (Monster's Ball) and Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), Greg Mattola (Superbad) and writers such as Joshua Marston (Slamdance finalist Maria Full of Grace) and Nicole Kassel (Slamdance winner The Woodsman). Slamdance recognized, showcased and helped to discover these artists. Filmmakers and writers today realize Slamdance is a great way to begin their career.
