The 2008 Slamdance Games Festival
Slamdance is now accepting submissions for the 2008 Games Festival, scheduled for October 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Developers of all varieties of interactive electronic storytelling and play are encouraged to submit. The SGF features professional and student categories, and features a breadth of games and play styles, reflecting the diversity of independent game development. Game submissions have an early-postmarked deadline of June15, 2008 and a final postmarked deadline of July 1, 2008. The entrance fee is $30 for games that meet the early deadline, and $40 for others. Students receive a discount. To submit, please download and fill out the entry form (here) and release (here). Entrants must submit 3 hard copies of their game and provide a URL for the game site.
The Slamdance Games Festival offers a unique opportunity for companies to reach an audience of independent game designers and creatives through online, print, and on site marketing and promotion, as well as the sponsorship of events and panels connected with our fest.
