ACCESSIBILITY FAQ

The following document is an outline of frequently asked questions about accessibility at Slamdance Film Festival 2026.

Getting to Slamdance

VENUES:

Slamdance 2026 will be held in three main venues in Los Angeles, CA. These venues are: 

a. DGA Theater: 7920 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046 

b. The Landmark Theatre: 8000 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046 

c. 2200 Arts Theater: 2220 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057 

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

Each of these venues are located on or near an LA Metro Transit bus route and stop. Here are some quick links:

The noted stops noted below are close to the venues and will require short distances by sidewalk to arrive at the venues. To get to these locations, here are the most direct bus routes: 

DGA THEATER AND THE LANDMARK THEATER-

Bus Routes: 

● Metro Bus 2 – travels along Sunset Blvd toward USC and Westwood.

● Metro Bus 302 – a rapid version of Line 2 along Sunset Blvd. 

● Metro Bus 217 – Hollywood/ Sunset Blvd toward Hollywood & Fairfax.

● Metro Bus 780- additional local route with stops near Sunset Blvd.

Bus Stops: 

● Sunset / Crescent Heights. 

● Sunset / Fairfax. 

● Crescent Heights / Sunset

Metro Rail: 

There are no direct Metro Rail routes to DGA, however you could combine the use of Metro Rail and Metro Bus. You could arrive at DGA by taking the Metro B Line (Red) to Vermont / Sunset Station, then transfer to Bus 2 or 302 westbound on Sunset Blvd. 

2220 ARTS-

Bus Routes: 

● Metro Bus 14- travels along Beverly Blvd between Downtown LA and Cedars-Sinai via Beverly Blvd 

Bus Stops: 

Alvarado St/ Beverly Blvd – Northbound & Southbound 

● Beverly / Alvarado & Beverly / Park View 

Metro Rail: 

There are no direct Metro Rail routes to 2220 Arts, however you could combine the use of Metro Rail and Metro Bus. You could arrive at 2220 Arts by taking the B Line (Red) or E Line (Expo) and then transfer to 7th Street / Metro Center and then transfer to a bus heading west toward the Beverly and Alvarado area.

PARKING AND DROP-OFF:

There are pay to park lots located around each of the venues. In accordance with state and federal laws, these lots are required to have accessible parking spaces available. 

Please note: Slamdance Film Festival is no way affiliated with the owners and operators of these parking lots, they are provided for information purposes only. 

DGA Theater Accessible Parking

DGA Day Lot 55: 7920 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046 

The entrance to this lot is on Hayward Ave. 

Please Note: There is elevator access only from levels P1 & P2.

DGA Overflow Parking: 1468 Hayworth Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90046 The entrance to this parking garage is on Hayworth Ave, use the link above for GPS. 

DGA Accessible Drop-Off: 

There is no designated drop-off zone at this location, there are some metered spots that are no parking/loading zones only starting at 7 pm. They are located on Hayworth Ave

The entrance to the Day Lot 55 parking Garage also has space to stop and drop-off before entering the garage – there is no turn around

The Landmark Theater Accessible Parking: 

SP+ Parking: 1457 Laurel Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046. There are accessible spots on each level, Level P2 has the most accessible spots. There is an elevator at each level. 

Please Note: The door from the garage to the elevator is 32” in width.

Elevator: when disembarking the elevator if you bear right this will be the most direct route to the accessible entrance to the theater. 

From the street: at the intersection of Crescent Heights and Sunset Blvd. there is a curb cut that leads to an accessible entrance (ramp) to the first level and then you will need to use the elevator to proceed to the theater. 

The Landmark Theater Accessible Drop-Off:

Across the road from the Landmark Theater at 7980 Sunset Blvd there is a plaza with ample room to drop-off and turn around. There is also a curb cut and crosswalk connected to this plaza directly across from the entrance.

2200 Arts Theater Parking: 

Praise Christian Fellowship Lot (on Roselake Ave): 2235 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057. This lot is across the street from the venue and is leased by the venue, enter via Roselake Ave. 

Enjoying Slamdance 

In accordance with state and federal laws, the venues that are hosting Slamdance have accessible seating and bathrooms. Please look for these signs to easily locate the reserved accessible seating:

DGA THEATER:

Accessible Entrance: 

From the Street:  The DGA main entrance is accessible from: The attached parking garage at levels P1 & P2 only. 

Please Note: The door from the garage to the elevator is 32” in width. 

The curb cut is located at the intersection of Sunset Blvd and Hayworth Ave. 

Accessible Seating – Theaters 

In all cases please look for the signs that mark the reserved accessible seating. 

DGA Theater #1: 

There will be reserved accessible seating in the front row of this theater.

DGA Theater #2: 

Reserved accessible seating is in row K as you enter the theater, there will also be additional spaces marked for use if these spaces in Row K are full.

DGA #3: 

There are spaces along the aisle that will be marked and are accessible. 

Accessible Seating for Panels: 

The panels will be held in the atrium of the DGA, there will be seats reserved for accessible viewing and ASL Interpreter viewing. 

THE LANDMARK THEATER:

Accessible Entrance: 

From the street:  There is a curb cut located at the intersection of Sunset Blvd and Laurel Ave. 

1457 Laurel Ave is also the entrance to the parking garage, however there is a space for drop-off before entering the garage – there is no turn around. 

Entrance points to the complex where the theater is located are on: Crescent Heights Blvd and N. Laurel Ave. These entrances are at ground level and accessible. 

Please Note: After arriving at the complex you will need to use the elevator up to the theater, the entrance to the elevator is located next to Starbucks under the overhang. 

Accessible Seating: 

In all cases please look for the signs that mark the reserved accessible seating. The Landmark theatre is a traditional theatre set-up and has accessible seating in each of the theaters. Please look for the signage that notes accessible spaces. 

There will be additional seating options earmarked for accessible viewing should the areas noted in the above map become full. 

2220 ARTS THEATER:

The main entrance on Beverly Blvd serves as the accessible entrance for wheelchair users and patrons with mobility needs. Because the space is on one level from the street entrance to the event area, there is no separate elevator or ramp required — the building entry itself accommodates wheelchair access. 

Accessible Seating: 

There will be reserved accessible seating – please look for the signs. 

Language Access

ASL INTERPRETING:

There will be ASL Interpreting offered for all of the programming that is offered at the DGA Theater and The Landmark Theater. There is no need to make a request, interpreters are on-site. Please look for these signs for reserved ASL Interpreter Viewing 

INCLUSIVE SCHEDULING:

Braille, Large-Print and Dyslexic Friendly Schedule formats will be available at each venue, please inquire with a Slamdance usher. You can also download a schedule for your own use:
